About Me

Thought Leader • Educator • Community Builder

From Jaipur to London: A Journey of Purpose

I moved from India to the UK in 2012, bringing with me the values of hard work, integrity, and resilience instilled in me from an early age. London, with its diversity and vibrancy, quickly became home, a place that embraces people from all walks of life. From the moment I arrived, I was driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to my new community.

Over the years, I have grown as both a resident and a leader, dedicating my efforts to building bridges across communities, celebrating cultural diversity, and creating lasting, positive change. Today, as a proud Londoner, I am deeply committed to representing this city’s dynamic population and championing the values that make it extraordinary.

Leading Through Service: Rotary and Beyond

I am honoured to serve as the first South Asian District Governor for Rotary in London, a historic appointment that reflects both our organisation’s commitment to inclusion and my personal journey in community service. In this role, I lead one of the world’s most respected service organisations, championing initiatives that promote education, health, social justice, and sustainable development.

Beyond Rotary, I continue my service through other leadership roles. As Chair of Barking & Ilford United Charities, I work to ensure the well-being and dignity of our almshouse residents, some of society’s most vulnerable. As Founder of the Bharat Cricket Community, I’ve brought together people across backgrounds through sport, using cricket as a platform to promote inclusion, teamwork, and belonging.

Recognition and Honours

My contributions have been recognised at the highest levels, humbling affirmations of the values I hold dear. I was named a Coronation Champion by His Majesty the King, honouring individuals who go above and beyond in community service. I was also awarded the Prime Minister’s Points of Light recognition for my leadership and impact through service initiatives.

Additionally, I am a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London, a civic honour that allows me to represent and support the Crown in community-focused efforts across the capital.

Connection to the City of London

Since 2012, I have worked closely with clients and organisations in and around the City of London, particularly the Bishopsgate area. These professional engagements have given me a deep appreciation for the City’s unique blend of history, innovation, and global influence. I’ve contributed to transformation projects across industries, helping businesses embrace agility, improve systems, and deliver impact.

In July 2023, I was granted the Freedom of the City of London, a symbolic milestone in my journey. I am also proud to be a Freeman of two distinguished livery companies: the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants. These affiliations connect me to centuries-old traditions of commerce and philanthropy, and to networks of professionals committed to the public good.

What Drives Me

At my core, I am a connector of people and ideas. Whether through writing, teaching, speaking, or community leadership, I aim to inspire thoughtful action. I believe in bridging the gap between insight and impact, shaping systems, strategies, and solutions that serve society.

Spatial Thoughts is my space to share those reflections, on leadership, sustainability, culture, and the future of work. If you’re someone who values grounded thinking, collaborative change, and meaningful progress, I invite you to explore and engage.
